YES, you may! VA benefits include an Aid and Attendance benefit that you may qualify for. This benefit could provide from 12 to 20 hours of home care services for you and your spouse each week. We will gather information that may be useful in processing a claim with our expedited VA program during our original in home assessment so you can start getting the care you need as soon as possible.
Endeavor requires all of our caregivers to be currently certified as Home Health Aides, Nurse’s Assistants, or Med Techs. In addition, all caregivers are CPR and First Aid certified, and undergo TB testing and comprehensive background checks.
Invoices are sent out every Monday for services from the previous week (Sunday through Sunday).
When you sign your service agreement, you will have the option to choose one of the following payment methods: credit card, check, or automatic ACH debit. Credit card payments and ACH debits are automatically run on the day the invoices are issued, providing a worry and hassle free way to keep your payments current. Our secure system protects your information, and generates a receipt for payment as soon as it is processed. You may also choose to send a check by regular mail in the self-addressed, stamped envelope provided with your invoice.
Unfortunately, life gets in the way of schedules sometimes and it may happen that your caregiver meets with an unexpected delay. If your caregiver is not at your home at the scheduled time, please immediately call the Endeavor main office number (480.531.8191) to let us know. The situation will be addressed immediately and we will either replace the caregiver as soon as possible, or let you know the estimated time of arrival for the caregiver who was originally scheduled.
If, for any reason, you need to change the schedule of service that you have arranged with Endeavor, please contact our office and speak to the scheduler or your case manager. We ask that clients make these changes no less than 72 hours prior to the desired schedule change for non-emergency matters, and no less than 24 hours for medical reasons (e.g., a doctor’s appointment)
Endeavor accepts all forms of long-term care insurance. During our original in home assessment, Endeavor will go over any policy information with you and assist in contacting your insurance company to process a claim for in home non-medical care.
We are all human and personality differences happen. If you find that your caregiver does not create a comfortable and secure feeling in your personal space, please call our office and speak to our scheduler or your case manager. We will be happy to go through a requested profile with you, and work together to place someone in your home that makes each day a bit brighter.
Yes, they can. Our caregivers are required to keep proof of current vehicle registration on file with Endeavor, as well as undergo background and DMV checks. In addition, their vehicles are inspected on a regular basis to ensure that they meet safety standards. Both clients and caregivers are required to sign a waiver initially covering personal transportation.
Our caregivers are NOT permitted to administer medication. However, they CAN provide medication reminders, be on-hand when medications are taken, and record the information for future reference for family members and doctors.
Arizona is a non-licensed state for non-medical home care. (insert section on AzNHA)
We are open to receive your call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Outside of office hours, your call will be received by a trained home care professional that will be able to assess your situation and contact Endeavor staff immediately in the event of an emergency. For non-emergency matters, you may be advised that a staff member will contact you during office hours.
Non-medical home care is care for persons needing assistance with ADLs (activities of daily living), and is provided by a certified home health aid, nurse’s assistant, or a licensed nurse practitioner. These activities may include trips to the doctor, showering, toileting, reminders to take the right medication at the right time, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, shopping, and Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and dementia care. The result is companionship that allows seniors to feel safe and independent while they age in place in the homes they’ve lived in for years.
Home Health is the term that encompasses several professional medical services including nursing services for medication management and wound care, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
Hospice care is designed to give supportive care to people in the final phase of a terminal illness. It focuses on comfort and quality of life, rather than cure. The goal is to enable patients to be comfortable and free of pain so that they live each day as fully as possible. Hospice caregivers are generally with a patient for a limited number of hours several days a week depending on the level of care needed.
Non-medical care and home health/hospice are often combined to make a person as comfortable as possible in their own home.
